The Husband and Wife team behind
Chrystal and Lucas photography!
A relationship created by circumstance and solidified by our differences. “Like Whiskey and Ice Cream” a good friend once told us.
Chrystal graduated with a bachelor of fine art degree with a concentration in Photography from Northern Michigan University in 2004 and quickly made a name in the wedding photography industry. "This is my love any my passion and after 19 years in the industry my love for weddings and the couples we have the honor to photograph has done nothing but grow stronger with each passing year!
OBSESSIVE LOVER OF ALL THE ANIMALS - bringing home more rescues than I should
FOODIE AT HEART - Especially Cheese... Cheese is a food group right!
HOPELESS ROMANTIC - Bring on all the date nights!
LOVER OF OLD FASHIONED LIVING - From knitting to canning, gardening and woodworking, taking a hands on approach to life is so rewarding.
Lucas has been working side by side with Chrystal for the past 9 years. "We have grown together as team in our marriage and in our photography. We have complementary personalities. I work in the background taking on a more photojournalist approach, while she works directly with our couples and their families. It works well telling the full story of a wedding day having two perspectives with different voices. "
OBSESSED WITH MOTORS - If it has a motor I'm going to take it apart and try to make it go faster
IS THE MASTER OF THE GRILL - Backyard chef extraordinaire!!
CRAFT BEER LOVER - Bock Fest and the mico brewery beer scene is my thing, I have collected every bottle of every new beer I've had in the last 10 years, much to Chrystal's dismay.
LIFE ON THE FARM
We gather inspiration from the love that we share as a family. The good the bad and the really messy (what kid isn't messy). We love, LOVE, love to DIY and hope to pass these values on to our children. Our daughter Lida, our son Evren, our fur kids Moxie, Mary and Frankie (the dogs) Mackenzie and Bella (the cats) our 28 chickens, 6 ducks, and 2 gunia fowl and the parrot Skittles have completed our little perfectly imperfect little family.
